An immersive experience that explores the interaction between human and space through extended reality technologies.

Oğuz Emre Bal is an extended reality designer and artist who explores the intersection of architecture, interaction design, and spatial cognition. His work focuses on investigating the "Reality Experience" through XR (AR/VR/MR), digital twins, interactive simulations with game engines, generative programming, and bodily experiences. With a background in both undergraduate and graduate studies at Istanbul Technical University, Emre's research delves into how human movement can dynamically shape architectural spaces. Currently pursuing a PhD at ITU Architectural Design Program, he is conducting experimental protocols using Unreal Engine to model a digital twin campus, analyzing spatial awareness and learning through behavioral/bodily measurements and interaction data.

Emre founded uniodesignstudio in 2017, which serves as a platform that merges art, design, and architectural practices with an emphasis on experiential design, immersive installations, parametric production, and computational aesthetics. Alongside his academic work, he is also involved in entrepreneurial projects focusing on 3D printing, parametric product development, and material/process innovation. His research interests include embodied cognition and spatial memory, human-environment interaction models, XR-based experience measurement, digital-twin to physical twin alignment, generative coding, and real-time visualization. Emre aims to redefine spatial experience as a measurable, comparable, and designable field, contributing both to architectural theory and applied educational and industrial practices.
