Wasl Tower

A 64-storey mixed-use skyscraper in Dubai featuring the world's tallest ceramic facade and innovative sustainability techniques.

The Wasl Tower stands as a bold new landmark in Dubai’s skyline, reaching an impressive height of 302 meters with one of the world’s tallest ceramic facades. Designed by United Network Studio (UNStudio), this mixed-use skyscraper redefines sustainable architecture through innovative shading and cooling techniques tailored to the desert climate. Its unique ‘contrapposto’ structure not only reflects the dynamic interconnectivity of Dubai but also serves as a point of convergence, drawing people from all directions into its heart.

Strategically positioned along Sheikh Zayed Road, the Wasl Tower complements the iconic Burj Khalifa and connects to the City Walk Development via a pedestrian bridge. This strategic location enhances its role as a hub for activity and movement in Dubai’s bustling urban landscape. The tower’s design incorporates smart engineering solutions such as three 300-meter shear walls and four outriggers, ensuring open and efficient floorplates while minimizing structural components. Additionally, the ceramic facade elements contribute to natural cooling during the day and dynamic lighting at night, enhancing both energy efficiency and aesthetic appeal.
