Canyon Shopping Center Concept

A shopping center concept design with fluidity elements especially insipred by slices and smoothed canyons and caves.

Description

The project defines a landscape-inspired retail interior, where the conventional shopping mall structure is subverted in favor of organic spatial sequencing. The core design language, as evidenced in images, is a direct translation of the smooth, fluid stratification found in natural canyon formations and cave systems.

A multi-level central void acts as the primary organizing element, carved from a parametrically defined system of sinuous, continuous, and varying layered strata. These bands, executed in a gradient palette of greens and neutral greys as seen in images, form the balcony fronts, creating a sense of eroded rock faces rather than standard floor slabs. Each level's edge is dynamically contoured, ensuring a fluid visual connection across the void and preventing standard rectangular grid-based perspectives.

Integrated linear LED lighting is seamlessly embedded within the stratified layering, accentuating the organic curves and providing functional ambient illumination while defining the boundaries of the circulation paths and the public terraces seen in image_0.png. The design utilizes clear glass balustrades to maintain uninterrupted sightlines throughout the complex volume.

Important

This project is pure concept design project and doesn't have any connection with KANYON AVM which is located in Istanbul/Türkiye
